Wednesday Wellness Fast Day #3 - Banana Smoothie
So, bananas are a great source of potassium. Good for the heart. Our smoothie for this fast day was simple and quick as we were running around like mad women.
Our recommendation is mix up your fast days with fun ingredients, experiment and see what you like and don't like. This was one yummy and sweet. We added turmeric to this recipe and kind of made it our own. Turmeric is a wonderful spice and has been shown to do wonders against fighting and preventing cancer. Turmeric is used in alot of Indian cuisine. But it really doesn't have much of a taste so it mixes beautifully with the banana. You really can't taste the turmeric at all.
Ingredients:
Banana Smoothie Powdered Mix
Organic Bananas
Turmeric - 1 big teaspoon
A big scoop of Vanilla Blue Bell ice cream (probably a couple of scoops)
1 cup of Organic Milk
1 cup of ice
So mix it all together in your blender.
